Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. She was able to land her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was only 13 years old. Bell was later selected for newspapers ads as well as commercials on TV. In the same year Bell also started classes in acting. Bell was credited with a minor performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and the drama club. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. After graduating, Bell moved to New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about musical theatre. Bell quit the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and the credits only display her. Bell was on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
